You may have seen the box that went in a few weeks ago, across from the bus depot, and wondered what it was.

It's a new mailbox for the Lompico Community Center.

We decided to put one in for a couple of reasons. It's more convenient for us to collect the mail vs going to the post office box. Plus, residents will be able to drop donations and suggestions into the box and save on the cost of postage.

NOTE: If you do drop a donation in the mailbox please use a check or money order, not cash, for security reasons.

I ordered decals for it with the LCC logo and address and had hoped to have them on by now but the company printed them on the wrong stock and had to re-print them. I should have them on January 2nd and you'll see them on the mailbox a day or two after that.
